RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA >> The Santa Margarita boys basketball workforce wanted some late heroics to beat St. John Bosco 48-46 in extra time in a Trinity League sport Friday at Santa Margarita Excessive.
The Eagles trailed 44-41 with underneath 10 seconds remaining in regulation. Jake Heberle drew a double-team and he handed to Rockwell Reynolds, who made a 3-pointer as time expired to ship the sport into extra time.
In extra time, Santa Margarita (13-1, 2-1) trailed by one and had the ball. Reynolds had the ball within the paint and kicked it out to Ethan Rhee, who made one other 3-pointer as time expired to win the sport.

“I’ve stated this final week too, that we have now a terrific group of selfless guys,” Santa Margarita coach Justin Williams-Bell stated. “We needed to bounce again from a loss on Wednesday (to Mater Dei). Our guys bought within the fitness center and bought after it yesterday. All credit score to the gamers, they did a superb job.”
